Record Management
With Maarch Entreprise, or any custom application built on Maarch Framework, you have a complete and functional Electronic Record Management System (ERMS) at your disposal. Actually, any document in those application is treated as a record as soon as they are indexed.
Compliance with the industry standards
To guarantee the respect of the bests practices as well as the security of your records, Maarch applications are compliant with the industry standards. They currently respect French norm NF Z41-013, international norm ISO 15489, international standard Dublin Core.
In addition, R&D for 2010 is geared towards compliance with European standard for ERMS MoReq2 (you can follow our progress on our wiki dedicated to MoReq2)
Open Source
As for all our software, the record management part is available freely under the open source GNU GPLv3 License. As such, it assures you a total cost far inferior to any proprietary alternative.
However, when you choose a record management system, you must be sure that it will be maintained for at least 20 to 30 years. That is where open source matters : as you have the sources of the application, the community or any vendor will still be able to maintain or develop evolutions, even in a far future.
Document security and safety
Everything is done in our applications to enforce the integrity and the security of your documents. A soon as they are indexed, a checksum is computed to verify the integrity of your document at any time. Moreover, the full history of the document is recorded, ensuring a complete traceability for every documents.
In addition to that, the filter-based security model of Maarch Entreprise ensures that document can only be seen by authorized persons, for information security reasons, but also for efficiency (it removes unnecessary clutter).
