The first Load tests for Maarch Framework 3 and Maarch AutoImport have been released: results are satisfying for document mass import and document viewing and searching (the most resource-consuming features).

Tests have been performed on a professional server (2x Intel Xeon E5420 @ 2.50GHz, 8GB RAM, Red Hat Enterprise Linux Server release 5.3). Maarch Framework was served by Apache 2.2 and used an Oracle 10.2.0.4 database. 100 millions documents have been loaded in the base with Maarch AutoImport in the base used for searching tests

Test protocol tried to mimic the traffic created by a “hotline” service.

Measured performances wre pretty much above what we were expecting:

• up to 2150 documents loaded per minute (130 000 documents per heure)
• 95% of pages served in less than 0,7s with 1000 concurrent users
